SBA-AwardOver the past decade, Global Interactive Solutions (GIS) has deployed video conferencing systems for customers in some 55 countries worldwide (see map below). In recognition of this outstanding track record, in 2006 the firm was honored by the US Small Business Administration as Exporter of the Year for the South-East United States.

Through this work it has accumulated considerable expertise in deploying practical solutions for even the most challenging of technical environments. Some of the most critical issues are discussed briefly below:

Power Supply Issues:
(110V/220V/240V)

All video conferencing systems from GIS come with auto-sensing and auto-switching 110 to 240 Volts power supplies, and will work anywhere in the world. The only thing that you might need is a plug adapter, which we can supply.

Warranty Issues:

All equipment from GIS is backed by a US warranty that usually lasts between 1 and 3 years from the purchase date. In the event of product defects, customers must return the defective units to the United States for warranty repair or exchange. This can easily take from 2 to 4 weeks. As an alternative,  international warranties are available from most manufacturers at extra cost, under which they will express replace any defective components.

NTSC Issue:

All video conferencing systems and other equipment on our web site is designed for the North American market, and thus adhere to the NTSC video standard. NTSC equipment can be made to work almost anywhere in the world. In many cases, this arrangement is cost effective, since the NTSC equipment is often cheaper than overseas models.

NTSC stands for National Television System Committee, which devised the NTSC television broadcast system in 1953. NTSC is also commonly used to refer to one type of television signal that can be recorded on various tape formats such as VHS, 3/4" U-matic and Betacam. The NTSC standard has a fixed vertical resolution of 525 horizontal lines.  NTSC countries include: USA, Antigua, Bahamas, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, Bolivia, Burma, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Greenland, Guam, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Jamaica, Japan, South Korea, Mexico, Netherlands Antilles, Nicaragua, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Puerto Rico, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, St. Kitts, Saipan, Samoa, Surinam, Taiwan, Tobago, Trinidad, Venezuela, Virgin Islands.

Non-NTSC countries for which NTSC systems may be adapted include: Afghanistan, Algeria, Argentina (PAL-N), Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brunei, Cameroon, Canary Islands, China, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ghana, Gibralter, Greece, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, North Korea, Kuwait, Liberia, Luxembourg, Madeira, New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Paraguay, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia (also , Siera Leone, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Thailand, Turkey, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Uruguay, Yeman, Yugoslavia, Zambia, Zimbabwe.
