Carolyn Peterson Richter: (President) Carolyn has been the driving force behind Global Interactive Solutions, LLC since 1999 and she handles most behind the scenes business issues. Thanks to her we are a successful and financially rock solid company focused on providing great value and excellent customer service. She is a Florida native and a graduate of TulaneUniversity in New Orleans licensed to practice law in Georgia,Florida, Louisiana and WashingtonD.C.
Claudia Anne Kraft: (General Manager) Claudia is the always friendly and humble voice of Global Interactive Solutions, LLC. She has literally traveled the world for us and has set up videoconferencing solutions for customers worldwide. She keeps everybody up to speed and her kind character has made her a trusted and valuable resource for many of our clients. Her background is in global freight forwarding and shipping so if your equipment is going to India or the Caribbean – don’t hesitate to call on her. She is also our product specialist for video furniture and knows everything there is to know about it.
Werner S. Richter: (A.V. Systems) Werner co-founded Global Interactive Solutions, LLC back in 1996. Since 1995 he has designed and personally implemented videoconferencing solutions for clients in 57 countries and 49 US States (Hello Wyoming where are you?). He has provided top notch support to videoconferencing clients with multi-year service and support contracts including the U.S. Department of Commerce, U.S. Foreign & Commercial Service; State of Pennsylvania, Office of International Business Development; State of Georgia, Dept. of Industry, Trade & Tourism; and U.S. Trade Centers and U.S. Embassies around the world.
A native of Germany, Werner came to the U.S. as a Fulbright scholar to get an MBA in International Business in 1993 and later decided to make videoconferencing his mission for life. He is actively involved from the design to the implementation stage as well as in training end users in the effective use of their systems. He is fluent in French, German and Spanish and handles most international transactions.
Phil Cartier: (Design Enginner) Philip has been active in the audio and audiovisual industry for over thirty years. He was actively involved in touring performance audio and theatrical sound during the 1970’s, was a systems design engineer for a national audio & AV systems integrator during the 1980’s and has been an independent systems design consultant since 1991.
As an integrator and independent consultant, Phil has over 16 years direct experience in designing & commissioning of numerous audio conferencing, videoconferencing and distance-learning systems for higher-education, institutional, government and corporate clients. He has also consulted to numerous manufacturers for hardware and software products used in conferencing applications.
Phil studied acoustics & audio systems design under Dr. E. T. Patronis at the Georgia Institute of Technology and currently holds the CTS-D (Certified Technology Specialist – Design) certification from the International Communications Industries Association (ICIA), the largest AV-industry association. He is a member of the Audio Engineering Society (AES) and is the former Chairman of the Atlanta section of the AES.
Paul Bishop: (Technical Support) Paul is a native of Baltimore, MD and after studies at Clark Atlanta University he worked in the IT infrastructure business before joining GIS as a videoconferencing specialist. He is focused on our bridging, virtual meeting room and live and on-demand streaming solutions but also supports our in-house AV integration business. Paul also supports our customers with time and mission critical service to assure the highest possible uptime and return on investment with their GIS provided high fidelity audio and high definition videoconferencing installations.
Kim Smith: (Accountant) Kim worked for Deutsche Bank in commercial banking before taking a break to start her family. She joined us in 2005 to be another friendly voice of Global Interactive Solutions, LLC. Her primary responsibilities are in accounting where she handles the many customer and vendor relationships assuring that all transactions are handled in a correct and timely manner. She also assists us with special projects and assures that our growth stands on a solid financial basis while treating everybody with respect and honesty.
Bob Erwin: (Webmaster) Since 1996, Bob has managed large federal grant programs that use videoconferencing to further international trade efforts of state and federal agencies. Bob is an American Institute of Architects (AIA) registered Architect and his design and graphic design capabilities have been helpful to us in many projects. While our website is based on Oracle software, Bob is responsible for its design and the look and feel. He also sets the graphic guidelines for our marketing materials and our trade show booths.
Crestron Authorized Independent Programmer: All of our custom Crestron Integration is performed by a seasoned Crestron Authorized Independent Programmer. We think he is so good that we prefer not to show you his picture, but rather let his work speak for itself. His unique skills make it possible to easily control multiple multimedia devices, lighting, HVAC etc.from a full-color touch-panel display.
